My mum needed immediate palliative care as she was dying of cancer. On contacting Park View the interest shown was immediate. I viewed two rooms and picked the one with the full ensuite bathroom. After a home visit by the manager my mum was admitted within 24 hours and all her requests for the room were met. Her cancer progressed quickly and over Easter she required a doctor for medication. Even though a difficult time everything was done to assist. My mum was made as comfortable as possible and the nurse was especially attentive and caring. I was kept fully informed and there with my mum at the time of her going. The care she received was professional and caring .

Very little staff to be seen every think seem to be a delay when asked. Not happy with the service provided to the service user. I noticed a carer treating the service user as a child .have some respect for the elderly. They deserve to be cared for as they were your own, not joke , and make comments and belittle people who can not talk back. its all a show making familys feel you care ,when i see carers like this it makes me cross and thats putting it mildly i felt like i wanted to say somethink but i held my tongue . Its a important job being a carer and i know the pay should be higher. But familys leave there mums, dads, granmas and grandads in your total care trusting you are taking care of there presious ones that they love. Very sad really to see . And to stay in homes are so expensive you want to see the best of care!
