I recently spent a few days at the Spire Fylde Coast Hospital over the period 16 – 18 Feb 19 for a TURP operation. From arriving at the Hospital at 7am to leaving on the Mon morning, everyone treated me, my wife who visited with respect and dignity. The care and commitment from all members of staff, not forgetting the pre op staff was reassuring, professional and informative, nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thanks must go to my Consultant/Surgeon and the anesthetist who took time to explain which would be the better procedure for me, and the nursing staff who made my stay most comfortable. Although I was in a room on my own all the nursing staff who came in took time out to chat and explain what was happening. My room was also clean, light and airy and the food was of a good quality and standard. Please pass on my thanks to those mentioned. .

I decided to go private after appalling treatment from my local NHS hospital subsequent misdiagnosis. I was a little apprehensive because you hear stories of private specialists doing unnecessary tests, etc. just to get money from you but this wasn’t the case at all. I was listened to and, after everything was taken in to account, received a diagnosis, given the medication I should have been on originally and now I have my life back (believe me, it’s no fun being bed ridden at th age of 30!). I couldn’t recommended this hospital or the endocrinologist highly enough. From the moment you go in, you are treated with respect, included in decisions for your treatment (something which hadn’t happened till this point) and the price is defiant worth it (not that I could put a price on having my life back) Thank you so much for everything.
