Son was told he would have to wait 2 years for a brace. Dentist did not explain the process of referral, what choices we had as NHS customers, only that if I wanted to pay £3000 it could be done sooner. 8 months on I learn from a friend her son got referred in 6 weeks, to a different orthodontist in Wolverhampton. Obviously some (financial???) reason why this dentist refers to a practice that has a 2 year waiting list. When I phoned to query this, was told the practice did not use the “new” referral system and that the orthodontist which my friend had been referred to wasn’t NHS. The fact they had no idea this practice was now accepting NHS patients says it all really.
There are better dentists out there. I won’t even go into the 3 attempts at filling my tooth (my first!) before they got it right and didn’t fall out! |

I have always had a fear of the dentist, which has deterred me from maintaining my dental treatment. I will go for years without visiting the dentist and avoid completing essential treatments.
However, recently I have been experiencing painful issues with my fillings and wisdom tooth and was required to undergo treatment.
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU ?? to
The dentist, who has been a brilliant and fantastic dentist. She resolved my issues with complete care, attention, put me at ease and ensured I endured less pain as possible during my treatment.
Upon completion of my treatment..I do feel slightly more confident in attending the dentist. I would highly recommend the dentist. |
