    I've been going to this dental practice for around three years now and I've always found them to be very professional, courteous and welcoming. The dentist I saw gave me choices about my treatment and was careful to make the differences clear. Before I went in, I also happened to speak to one of the other patients in the waiting room, and she was keen to tell me that one of the things she liked most about this practice is that they don't push you to accept unnecessary work. I have found this to be true. So far, I've had a couple of fillings, one of them quite tricky, and they seem fine one year on. The dentist was gentle and competent and the dental assistant seemed very kind. When I looked at the reviews, I was sorry to see at least one person seemed to have had a bad experience, but I can only think they were terribly unlucky. If I had to say anything critical about this practice, it would be that sometimes the phone lines are a bit busy and it can be hard to get through. That said, if you leave a message, they always ring you back.

    I attended this practice for a check-up and was told I needed a filling. This was arranged and then the appointment was cancelled (with very short notice) due to equipment failure. I attended a re-scheduled appointment and had the filling and it turned out to be the most traumatic dental experience I have ever had. I had to wait 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, then the dentist didn't numb my mouth properly and after he started drilling, I told him I could feel it and was in pain. He said that he would just carry on, but do it in small 10 second bursts. Unsurprisingly, I could still feel it and was still in pain. I told him to stop and had a small panic attack. He then decided to numb it further and finished the filling. Following this, I had months of problems (mostly pain) with the filling. I had to attend the practice several times for adjustments and in the final appointment was told that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it (despite the fact I was in pain with it) and to give it more time. They also cancelled the majority of appointments at short notice and I had to reschedule (which wasn't convenient as I had to arrange time off work to attend). Reasons for cancellations included equipment failure (twice) and issues with dentists. The staff weren't particularly apologetic, and were in fact more bothered about the fact that THEY had to cancel lots of patient appointments and it was difficult for them. I don't think I saw the same dentist more than once (barring the initial check up and filling) and one staff member told me that they had lots of locum dentists in over the summer who were terrible. They had even done bad dental work on her. I was also told that they now had a permanent dentist who was recalling patients to redo the work done by previous locum dentists. Needless to say, I am no longer a patient at this practice. I registered elsewhere as I still had pain with my filling. It was the best decision I have ever made - I got an appointment the same day, they re-did the filling (they said the pain may have been due to the filling not bonding properly with the tooth) and I have not had a problem with it since.

    I had been going here for a few years and my son and happy, Then in between lock downs tried to make an appointment due to tooth trouble, got told No receptionist, phone later, same next time I called ! Tooth calmed down (thank goodness) So then left till covid restrictions lifted To be told by the very ignorant and contradicting receptionist I hadn’t, been for 4 years ! One and a half of these was because of Covid and other part they had No receptionist !! I am a Widow and single parent on benefits, but was told if I pay full price private could have an appointment asap !! Couldn’t obviously afford and Very annoyed to say the least, so told off their books ?? And due to the current situation find my self with no Dentist and alot toothache and more problems which could have been avoided if seen in the 1st place ????
