I went to this surgery for a filling. The dentist did not have an assistant and was reaching for things while one hand was holding instruments in my mouth. She struggled with this and dropped things around me and reached over my face on a number of occasions. At one point an assistant came in and waited impatiently for the light so my dentist started rushing even more. I asked the dentist why she was rushing and she said it was because the assistant needed the light. I said I didn’t feel very good about this and she said things were chaotic because it was ‘one of those days’ and she was not sure why she was working there anyway.The dentist had to leave the room twice to get equipment from another room to use. She apologised that she was in a different room to her usual one and the room is not set up for fillings. As someone who is quite nervous at the dentist, this just exacerbated my anxiety. When she was checking if my filling was level, I felt rushed and like I was putting her out. As a result, I left the clinic stressed and feeling like my filling was not quite level. Really this was a terrible experience for me. She also asked me to check if the hole in my tooth was clean enough before she put the filling in. Shouldn't she be making that judgement. I couldn't see it - it was my bottom tooth at the back of my mouth! I made a complaint and got my £120 back. Was told by the manager that i would get an email to put what happened into writing. Nearly two weeks later, i have had nothing yet. I would give this place 0* I am still not sure if the cavity was cleaned properly before the filling was put in.
