I'm shocked to see so many 5 stars and comments of praise as unfortunately this was not my experience. Having started receiving sensitivity from my tooth I contacted this practice to book an appointment after being on the waiting list for over 6 months. I was informed the next available appointment was in 2 months time on NHS to which I said I'm happy to be a private patient if this helps me get seen sooner due to the pain. I was then booked in for an appointment in 2 weeks time. I was in Suffolk visiting family at the time and drove back the morning of my appointment (2 hours 39 minutes away) to be told when I turned up that my appointment had been cancelled and as I was a new patient they couldn't contact me (even though I had received both an email and a text message confirming and reminding me of my appointment). They rescheduled me for 4 weeks time and I attended the consultation to be informed I should try a temporary filing to see how I get on before fitting a composite, this appointment being a further 3 weeks time. I then received a phone call and a letter in the post whilst I was abroad stating my appointment had yet again been cancelled. I'm now almost 3 months into tooth pain and the earliest next appointments available offered was a further 2 weeks time on my Sons birthday which wasn't possible.
I asked why my appointment was cancelled and was at first told they did not know to then state the dentist was on holiday and only works 3 days a week. I was flabbergasted that my appointment was even booked in when the dentist wasn't going to be there and the fact that it was cancelled at short notice again.
The receptionists were very unhelpful and by far understanding of my frustrations or that I was in serious pain.
I've since seen another practice (same day as contacting MyDentist to advise I wouldn't be returning) who gave me a full examination with details regarding my tooth and the reasons why I had been experiencing severe pain and would see me for treatment that same week!
I'm pleased I made the choice to find a different dentist and not stay at MyDentist and I would certainly warn those thinking of contacting this practice. |

The dentists are absolutely fine, the problem with this place is the administrative staff. They seem perplexed, bemused and indifferent if you need time to consider an appointment and how it fits with your day to day life. Time on the phone is painful and heaven forbid if you need two seconds to contemplate anything. In the end they’ll hang up with utter disinterest and contempt and make you feel why you ever bothered in the first place, and all you have to look forward to is a dentist appointment. Totally grim. But like I said, the clinicians are fine, it’s the support staff who are about as much fun as - a visit to the dentist... Been with this surgery for about 10 years - for myself and my family (5 of us). Never had any problems what so ever. My husband had a phobia his entire life - this dentist has near enough wiped it out. They are so caring and kind.
