This dental practice is hounding me with phone messages, texts, and post. Demanding that I pay them £30 for canceling an appointment. I was due for a checkup on 28th June at 11:30, but had to cancel it that morning because I was still testing positive for Covid. My wife and I had been ill for over a week but were feeling better and I had expected to be able to attend my appointment. The young lad I spoke to on the phone was far from understanding and had an aggressive and disbelief tone to his voice. He demanded proof that I had Covid, when I asked how I was to do that he talked about NHS websites and screenshots. Both my wife and I are in our 70s and had no idea what he was talking about. Since then I have received a text demanding money, then a phone message warning me that there would be consequences if I did not pay. This morning I received a letter in the post, saying the account showed I had an outstanding amount of £30. Also that if I did not pay within 7 days, all future appointments would be canceled. In other words, I would no longer have a dentist. This is a misuse of power from an organization I would expect to have the needs of their patients up most in their minds |

The reception at the Old Mill is welcoming and staff are helpful and proactive in (re)arranging appointments. I have never had to wait long at the surgery, so they clearly have a good handle on the expected duration of appointments. The dental hygienist seems to know what she is doing, and so does my dentist. He cured a dental problem that had been nagging me for months because he had the skill and dedication that my previous dentist lacked. |

I took my reluctant ten year old to this dentist today. She was not happy to go, but when we arrived, she was welcomed in and treated so well, she came out with a huge smile on her face, more information on how to brush her teeth and hopefully healthier mouth, teeth and gums. She was given simple and concise instructions on what she needs to do and I was reassured about my daughters oral health. Great team, keep up the good work. |
