My appointment was on the 14th June @ 9am to have my wisdom tooth at the top left hand side my appointment was on time I was very nervous as this was the 1st tooth I’ve ever had to have removed. What can I say the dentist reassured me everything was going to be ok she’s asked me if I wanted to be talked through the procedure which I refused with in 10 minutes my tooth was removed she was very gently. The service is amazing at this practice |

After visiting multiple dentists and being extremely stressed about dental issues, this was the first dentist to go through all of my options and support me. Throughout this whole process the dentist has been caring, utterly professional and always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and safe. I honestly cannot recommend this dentist enough, they are great with appointments, the receptionists are lovely and the whole experience has been amazing because of the staff there. Thank you. |

I have attended this surgery for several years and I have always been happy with my treatment in the past. The receptionist, Karen, is extremely helpful and welcoming and there was little wait time for my appointment. My complaint concerns the appointment itself. The Dentist looked at my teeth for 2 minutes with no X - rays, scale or any other form of treatment. I was then told I had to book a Hygienist appointment costing £44 with a non - refundable £20 deposit. I was also charged £22 for the visit (a 2 minute look inside my mouth). I declined to book the Hygienist. If the dentist had done an initial clean then told me to book a second appointment, totaling £44, that would have been fine. I also would have accepted the hygienist appointment had I not been charged Band 1 for that visit. I will be seeking treatment elsewhere. Reply from St Helier Dental Surgery Wed, 03 Apr 2019 11:32:39 +0100 Dear Mr Smith, Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to learn that you are not satisfied with the service received. We strive to provide a high quality service to all our patients, providing them the various options for treatment available both under the NHS and privately. You are absolutely in your right to make a choice regarding which treatment you wish to accept. Our Hygienist appointments are very popular and there is usually a wait for them. Patients can reschedule their Hygiene appointments with no cost deducted if they provide at least 24 hours notice. To reduce our wait times, we do have a policy of non refundable deposit of 20£ if you do not attend your Hygienist appointment without prior information or provide less than 24 hours notice for rescheduling. These policies are clearly explained on our website as well. You have been charged for a routine check up under the NHS. Please do contact us via email : smile@sthelierdental.co.uk if you have any further queries and we will be glad to resolve them. Best wishes, St Helier Dental Team |
