The dentistry is reasonable by the dentist I saw (although my wife thought my dentist was far too quick inspecting her teeth the one time her dentist wasn't available); but this is only when I actually manage to get an appointment. I had one filling which didn't last long at all. I don't know what the expected lifespan of a filling is but I don't feel I have particularly bad dental hygiene and to have a filling break within one year of it being fitted seems like the work must have been sub-standard (or I'm unlucky). The primary reason for this review is the number of times I've had my appointments cancelled. In the six years or so I've been with this dentist I've had 4 cancellations (out of about 6 or 7 appointments) for a cancellation rate of around 50-60%. This is quite absurd. My job requires I plan my annual leave sufficiently far in advance. Why should this be any different for a dentist? Surely the dentists can be required to plan their leave more than a couple of weeks in advance, so patients are not continually cancelled upon. Looking at their reviews I'm not the only one this happens to. Furthermore, reception always seems to be understaffed so getting through once its been cancelled to re-book is more of an effort than it should be. They do have an online booking service but it looks like they're short on dentists too. In the end, I decided to go elsewhere. My advice to the owners (in the hope they actually read reviews of their practices) would be to invest more in staff -- this practice is understaffed.
