I have been deregistered by this practice for cancelling an appointment without 24 hours notice. I rang the practice the day before my appointment to cancel, giving them over 20 hours notice. No one answered the phone when I rang so I left a voice message expecting a call back pretty quickly to rearrange the appointment. The next this I know, I receive a letter saying I've been removed. Perhaps if they had answered the phone or called back they could have warned me. The letter also stated I had been warned before for missing an appointment but I have not received any such warning, either by post, phone or at reception. I've been with this practice for over 16 years since they bought out my old family dentist so I'm shocked to say the least at the way they treat patients. It seems to lack any semblance of basic fairness. |

Had to have a root canal and crown, not painful at all despite having to have to long appointments. Dentist and staff were all lovely and supportive and answered all my questions. They were also brilliant with my very nervous daughter! |

As my treatment records will show, I have availed re myself to Acorn's services several times. My experience has been most satisfactory, therefore you should take the descripiton of what I have just experienced today in the spirit in which it is offerred, providing an opportunity to review the functioning of your reception. I have placed a call at 10.15 am, one at 14.00 and one 16.00 ours. The phone rang more than 10 times on all three occasions and was finally answered by a recorded message irritatingly advising me of your working hours. For someone seeking fast tracked attention to an aching tooth to be advised to contact emergency dental service without giving a number to call is exasperating.. The poor quality of the recording makes it almost impossible to understand your message. You should take corrective steps to avoid testing the patience of your patients. |
