i am a doctor, who came to get emergency tooth extraction as it was causing alot of pain. i had to leave my 6 week baby who is mother fed, at home with someone. i had to arrange daycare for my 2.5 yrt old and drop him there. i asked my friend for bringing me to dentist as i couldn't be alone and drive back with an extraction. i was 6 minutes late, the receptionist was on phone for 4-5 minutes. she then booked me in and the dentist on duty refused to see me as i was a bit late. the slot was 30 minutes. i tried to reason with the receoptionist, who in all honesty, was apologetic and went in to speak to dentist again, but that doctor disregarded all of the patient's efforts and problems. i had to organise so much, just to get there and she didn't want to run 5 minutes late. i am shocked at how she behaved. and would definitely recommend that all doctors think about patients and their issues before sending them away, and utilise that time having tea or catching up on paper work. we are all here to serve patients, we are paid for that, and this profession is useless if one can't even have empathy for others.
horrible experience with a heartless dentist. |

I had to attend this clinic today with a severe facial inflammation. I am one of those people who would try and push through this with no treatment ie. I am severely scared of the dentist. But I realised I could not push through this one, with my eye closing too.
From start to finish I was treated with the utmost respect and sensitivity dealing with my severe phobia in the best way possible. From the receptionist to the dentist the treatment was excellent, and all this on a bank holiday monday.
These staff are a credit to the nhs. |
