I have been with this practice as an NHS patient for over 2 years now and the treatment I have received has been first rate.. I couldn't have received better treatment even if I had paid privately. The dentist I see is of the highest calibre as are the support staff. I feel so lucky to be with this practice |

I've always had a lot of problems with my teeth since a child, which means I have seen a lot of dentists including ones at dental hospitals in London. However, I must say this is one of the best dentists that I have seen.
I have always been seen quickly, and fitted in straight away when I've been in pain. The quality of work has been first class and I have been treated with sympathy and dignity at all times. Information about treatment options has always been good and understanding about affordability being an option. The reception staff have always been great too. |

I visited this practice for an a pain appointment after being up all night with raging toothache i called the dental access call centre and I visited a dentist same day with their help but was offered a prescription and told the tooth would need to come out and to find a dentist. Wolstanton Dentist was recommended through a friend and on a whim contacted them to tell them my dental situation, I wasn't sure what to expect but what I received was reassurance, kindness and above all else an offer of an appointment. I sat restlessly waited approximately 15 minutes until I was seen. Given the treatment I received I would have waited hours if needed. The tooth causing the pain was found and my treatment choices were given, something I never thought about which was kindly pointed out to me I did not have to make a choice of treatment immediately, my dentist explained that all choices would relieve the pain and that making a haste decision like just having the tooth out as I first requested could be a choice out of desperation for pain relief rather than me considering the actual reality of dealing with a space! Something I think most dentists do not emphasise enough to their clients. I am happy to say that I did not require my antibiotics as first prescribed by the walk in clinic, I had my tooth filled and whilst there is no guarantee that the tooth wont need removing later down the line I am grateful that I didn't opt to have the tooth out as I have a range of treatments I could further have done to help save this tooth from being removed The thought of a gap in my teeth fills we with dread and I am so grateful! That day I saw a dentist genuinely wanting what was best for their client who was in pain, tired and in deep despair with their teeth, and whilst the conversation didn't numb the pain the realisation of my attitude to just remove the troublesome tooth was not what I would have wanted given the pain free moment to actually think about it.
My dentist made me stop and think, I felt supported and confident that my needs for treatment were being carried out with my best interests at heart rather than what was convenient for them. I felt that dentist would look after my teeth like they would their own. When I left I heard a conversation being had that a patient had been kept waiting for 15 minutes after her appointment she walked behind the desk and began raising her voice. I thought for that moment, I forbid that she has pain like mine but if she ever had she would be lucky enough to be a member of this practice and have the treatment she should have even if it takes more time than planned.u don't get to rush the surgeon doing an operation when your waiting in your gown in hospital, so why would you think it was appropriate to rush someone's dental treatment who required it and abuse the woman at the desk who isn't in control of how long an appointment takes? |
