I have been a patient at this dentist for ages. Mr Matty was my dentist before he sold up t and retired. He was wonderful. Today i went for my appointment, the dentist did not even look at my mouth just said i needed a hygenist appointment and a clean and that would be another £40 on top of the £40 i was being charged for today's visit. i was truly shocked. I am so sad to have lost my good reliable dentist after about twenty years. |

PATIENT BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a NHS Patient at the Westpole Dental Clinic since August 2019. I have had previous treatment with Dr Entoni Daci and Dr Nisha Patel and have been very satisfied with my treatment and the correct charges were applied as a NHS patient. On the 4th and 21st January 2021 I had treatment with another dentist at the practice for a problematic LR6 tooth, both visits were as a NHS Patient and paid for as such in Band 2. For my 3rd visit on the 26th February I booked an appointment as a NHS Patient with the receptionist and was given the NHS Band2 charge for the extraction of my LR6 tooth as £65.20 . After my treatment on the 26th February with the dentist I was given a bill for £90. I refused to pay this and informed the receptionist that I was a NHS patient and the correct NHS charge for an extraction was Band2 £65.20 as she had previously quoted. She told me to discuss it with the dentist, he told me that was the correct charge as a private patient and I would have to pay it. I informed him that I have never been a private patient at the Clinic and was not warned or informed of this charge prior to the extraction. The dentist became extremely angry and rude and told me I could pay the NHS charge of £65.20 but he did not want to see me again as a patient before storming off. I then proceeded to make a complaint with the acting Clinic Manager Mr Islam and to Dr Lambden at their Head Office. The dentist has refused to apologise for his actions as requested and to date has not paid compensation for my inconvenience and distress to a nominated charity. Westpole Dental Clinic have also failed in responding to my requests to improve training of their staff and dentists to make sure all patients are fully aware of all costs involved prior to their treatment and to be given a full Dental Plan outlining all treatment and costs involved. We put our trust in our dentists and ask for a professional service at the correct charges in return. PATIENT BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I've been to many dentists, but my dentist at this surgery is kind, caring and professional. The dentist has looked after my teeth for a few years now, and always makes me feel welcome and at ease.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Reply from Cockfosters Dental Care Thu, 20 Apr 2017 11:08:32 +0100 Thank you for your comments.
