I have an innate fear of dentists. I will only go if I’m desperate. Anyway after yesterday’s completely painless tooth extraction by the practice owner , I have decided I will now go for regular check ups, if I can handle an extraction then regular check ups are nothing to worry about!!! Very reassuring, kind and patient. A credit to their profession. |

We have used the Dental practice since we moved here in 2011, our children are registered there too. We have had fantastic service here.
The surgery is very well run, it is located centrally in the village in a converted house. Appointments are available in an emergency as needed, check ups although difficult to schedule in with us, they are as available as any other busy town, with the amount of people in the area I think it is amazing how they cope. The dentist is welcoming and makes you feel at ease. for someone who has in the past been nervous with dentists hes brilliant his wit helped!.
The dentist is so gentle and funny with the children, one of my daughters did not want to show all of their teeth at a young age, he made it in to a game and she now will happily sit on the chair and has confidence in dentists. Dental appointments are now in our family not a dredded visit but a happy time which our whole family enjoy. The dental staff are accommodating and they are approachable too. I highly recommend this dentists, it's a shame there's not more like here! |

My 5 year old daughter had an accident at school on the playground equipment and broke her tooth requiring an emergency appointment. I contacted Cranfield Dental Practice and the receptionist was so helpful. Despite the practice not actually being open for appointments that afternoon, she contacted the Principal and he agreed to see my daughter within an hour. He instantly put her at ease and following an xray he explained that he was going to have to take the broken tooth out. Despite this being her first real visit to a dentist (other than a few cursory glances in her mouth at check ups) she coped so well with an injection and an extraction. This was definitely down to how calm and caring the dentist was - making little jokes, talking about her teddy, discussing the tooth fairies he knew etc. She did not cry once. After the treatment, he went the extra mile and gave her several stickers and a pound "advance" from the tooth fairy! I cannot recommend the Principal and his team enough. What could have been a traumatic first experience at the dentists for my daughter that may have put her off for life was actually no problem at all and taken in her stride. Thank you Cranfield Dentist Practice. |
