We have been patients at this practice for more then 10 years and the recent experience has seriously damaged previous efforts of dentist to meet the needs which were mainly follow up and occasional filling; We have recently had need for our son to be referred to the orthodontist; This includes visiting orthodontist who comes in on Friday and wait to see is several months. If child is unwell or away and appointment cancelled, not actually missed this is considered ? waste and he becomes low priority. If the child is uncomfortable after braces are fitted he is given appointment which is scheduled in two months ( ?! ) Most recently one of the wires sprung open and we needed to use Smile triage as an emergency and the appointment took 2 mins to cut and readjust the wire-done by the dentist with no orthodontist qualification. I suggest such service offered at the surgery is in fact inadequate to be rolled out to general public particularly involving children. What happened to referrals to the orthodontal practice staffed with suitably qualified specialist orthodontists?? And to top it off if appointment is missed for hygienist one cannot see NHS dentist (Hygienist is private ) until bill settled, despite that this was done months in advance and no reminder sent. This obviously is discussion with same member of staff at the reception who we did not manage to bypass over the phone instead decided to take custom to another business particularly now that we actually have medium to high dental need, on NHS... |

I visited the practice as a new patient as I haven’t attended for some time and wanted to get back on track with looking after my teeth.
The dentist I saw was really friendly and approachable and disussed different options with me.
The treatment I had went amazing. Pain free and an amazing result. I also saw the hygienist and my teeth feel clean for the first time in years.
Thank you for all the care provided. |

I have been going to Chiswick Dentist from the '90s. I recently required a tooth extraction as I was on Universal credit I made use to of the service had a checkup they advised lots of treatments- the manager there was adamant that I had to pay after, I looked it up they had incorrectly charged me and not only did they repeat took payment & sent me home twice for my National insurance number even though I am on the system, the had to fully refund me. I decide to only do half an hour of the hygienist as i find it painful, the reception manager knew I was on low income and still failed to inform me the Hygienist is not available at their clinic on NHS this is outrageous as she made herself visible when I was told to pay the FULL private fee. It feels like a scam & I will be looking at other Acton dentists that will hopefully be more customer friendly & upfront with charges to unfortunate folk on a lesser income. I will be social networking this as I image lots of people will be tripped up by this expensive service. I was made to feel intimidated to inquire about the NHS fee. To top it off when i left i got home to a message saying I still owed them £3! as they made a mistake when applying the digitis on the PDQ, wholey incopitant and very upsetting as they offer no support. |
