One of the molars in my lower jaw broke while I was having lunch. The broken tooth had sharp edges and I wanted treatment the same day, although I believed it would be difficult to get an appointment at such short notice. I searched the NHS website for local dentists who offer emergency treatment, and tried three dentists who said they were unable to see me the same day.
Then I found the Manningtree Dental Practice. The receptionist said that a dentist could see me in an hour's time, although she explained that this would be on a private basis rather than NHS. I agreed to make the appointment and drove 26 miles to Manningtree - a relatively long way, but I felt I could get there in time. The receptionist even recommended a car park, as I am unfamiliar with the town.
I found all the staff at the practice friendly, helpful and professional. After X-raying my tooth, the dentist showed me the image, explained the problem and offered various options for treatment. She recommended a straightforward treatment, which she completed quickly and painlessly, and at a very reasonable price.
I am so impressed with this practice that I would consider becoming a patient there despite the long distance from my home. |

We as a family have been going to this Dentist for many years and I cannot fault the care and the treatment we have had, the receptionists are great. We go to at least three different dentists within the practice and my family members and myself can't recommend it enough. Thank you |

Recently had some treatment at Manningtree Dental surgery and although it initially didn’t work out too well, this wasn’t the fault of staff who were very professional and helpful. What I’m commenting on is the practice’s policy to take people off their books if they cancel 2 appointments in a year and whilst doing so,not giving 24 hours notice. If you had an appointment say,on a Tuesday morning at 11o’clock but something important happened on the Monday afternoon forcing you to cancel I don’t see that it’s fair that because it was within 24 hours you then get penalised. At least that person was still doing the decent thing and phoning to let the practice know rather than just not showing up. People can’t help emergencies. As long as they phone, that should be fine. If they don’t bother phoning, that’s a different matter. |
