Went in terrified as had to have extraction. The dentist totally calmed me down. The extraction itself took an hour and a half due to tooth breaking and roots being twisted but the dentist was brilliant. Kept me fully informed and calm and took things at my pace. Even though it was a tough extraction my fear of the dentist is cured thanks to the professional staff here. |

Wasn't informed of any costs.
Knew that I needed work doing but struggled finding a local dentist with available appointments after my old dentist moved practices and went private. (Plus I absolutely hate visiting and having things prodded and probed in my mouth)
Reminded me of being at school and getting told off by the teacher.
No dental plan offered, choices were limited to extract now or when they started to hurt. I first had an examination appointment in which I met the staff of MyDentist, Greenes Road, Whiston on 19/09/2018.
The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and talked me through the usual forms you have to fill in as a new patient.
Just a few minutes after handing the forms back to the receptionist, the dentist came to the waiting room and called me in personally.
He introduced himself and his dental assistant and thoroughly explained the examination procedure.
He gently inspected my oral health and proceeded to take some x-rays, all of the time telling me what he was doing and looking for specifically.
The dentist was very respectful of me and was asking if I was okay throughout - he was also very calming which is good for anybody that's nervous.
After telling me the work he suggested I needed, which included one filling and one extraction he asked me if I'd like it done on the same day.
Unfortunately, pushed for time on that day I had to decline, but I re-arranged and went back today (03/10/2018).
The dentist suggested doing the extraction first and then the filling afterwards, but asked if I was okay with this and I agreed with his decision.
Throughout the procedure, the dentist and the dental assistant were very polite and always ensured I felt okay and to raise my hand should I need a break. What I really liked was that I was completely informed of everything that was happening, what to expect and how long it was likely to take.
All in all, I am so, so glad I found this practice. I am not a nervous patient as such, however even I feel more confident about visiting again in the future.
If you're a nervous patient, trust me, this is the practice for you. They are very gentle, reassuring and treat you with dignity and respect.
