As an existing patient I had to call in on an emergency appointment.I was seen by one particular dentist who extracted a wisdom tooth. I was an hour in all and received courteous and professional treatment.I can't express enough how good my treatment was the tooth was removed and I was given a care pack for tooth extraction.Great service from a great dental practice. |

Every one is very welcoming, calm and usually professional. BUT, why when an appointment is made for first thing in the day,and I had arrived before time, and been invited to take a seat, only upon enquiry over 25 mins later did I discover my Dentist was not even in the building!! This is not the first time this has happened to me, over the years. It turned out one of the two receptionists knew the situation the other did not. Nothing was said when I booked in. Nor did anyone approach me to explain, and give me options. The receptionist who knew situation said she had not been informed of how long he expected to be. Had I not kept the appointment I would have been charged over £22. There is no notice displayed to say what a reasonable length of time to expect to wait. The clock has also been removed from the waiting room, quite some time ago. No information given of the complaints procedure was offered to me. Something I was expected to do in my job as a receptionist. As someone who finds going to the Dentist very stressful, this has not been , been a good experience. I have I hope, built up a good rapport with my Dentist, and am loathe to change he is so good, calm and very patient. If only the time keeping situation could be sorted, or does this only happen to me?
