May 15 2018 Completely appalled by the level of service . like the previous person who commented , called to double check on my childrens appointment only to be told that they were no longer NHS. IF we had turned up on the day they would have charged..per child !! Nobody was told like the previous called stated, NHS please investigate this practice for failure of duty, and care for patients.

I have always paid for extra check ups and other treatment I even had private orthodontic treatment here costing my parents a lot of money. I have just had a baby this month and I was told that my free NHS check up is no longer valid it was supposed to be in March, and that I would have to pay for my check ups. Had I not have called to rearrange my appointment I would have gone thinking my appointment was under the NHS when really it wasn’t. I think that it is very poor to be mislead like this and because of that I will not be returning to this practice. Years ago it was one of the best dentists in Leicester now all I see is it being a money making machine who grab every penny they can! I had tried to rebook my appointment as I was told that they have no funding for appointments at the moment but they didn’t give me this opportunity.

We are very sorry that we were unable to see you as an NHS patient back in March 2018. Unfortunately, further NHS funding was unavailable in order for us to see our dedicated and long standing NHS patients from January 2018 onwards. Despite much effort to get this changed, the NHS LAT could not assist with further NHS funding and advised us to therefore direct all our NHS patients to NHS choices at that time in order for another NHS practice in the area to see patients. ALL patients with imminent NHS appointments were contacted at the time and told that this was the case. In addition to this, as of 1st April 2018 we will no longer be able to see NHS patients at 101 Uppingham Road. You can however continue to be seen as an NHS patient at Willowbrook Dental Practice on Humberstone Road opposite the Merlyv Vaz Centre (less than a mile away) We are committed to the care and wellbeing of all our patients and will support the transition of our NHS patients to Willowbrook Dental or any other NHS practices in the area.Cooil, J GBy: June Vernon Rating:.. 
Sep 17 2018 I would like to comment on the hygienist. I have had the same hygienist for over 10 years and I am always very impressed with the friendly professional service given. At one previous visit the hygienist commented how important it was to floss, use interdental brushes at the time of brushing. I admitted I had been neglecting this aspect of my dental cleansing routine. At my latest visit, and taking on board the wise words, this hygienist commented how much better my teeth were. I was so glad I had taken the advice given. My thanks to the hygienist.
