I have been trying to get an emergency appointment with this dental practice since 21st December. Today is the 28th and the earliest appointment they can offer is the 3rd of January. I have called on several occasions to try and get a cancellation, but each time I am told that my dentist isn't in. The bad toothache that I had on the 21st December has ruined my Christmas and has now developed into major swelling on the right-hand side of my face. 111 tell me that they cant help as I am registered with a dentist. I am taking 8-12 painkillers a day but they really don't seem concerned. All of my experiences of the NHS have been good in general but this place is run as a business, not as a patient-focused practice. |

After calling approximately 15 dentists in Plymouth, I finally found one who accepted NHS! I went to Larkham House full of nerves, but within the 10 minutes of signing up, they booked me in for a check up the next week. That same week an issue I have been trying to get fixed through emergency for months was sorted! The dentist is wonderful, really puts me at ease with my anxiety. Making me comfortable with a dentist again, even when the dentist struggled to extract my tooth. Many other dentists would have terrified me for life. |
