I don’t usually do reviews but I had to for this fantastic dental practice who saw me through the NHS as an emergency today, Easter Saturday. My own Bhandal practice was open but had no dentist in, (What use is that) so I contacted 111 who got a dental nurse to call me back to carry out an assessment and make an emergency referral. Within 10 minutes, this practice called me back with an appointment 45 minutes later. I’d been in agony with a back molar that needed to come out. I don’t know anyone who likes going to the dentist but I must say this was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Receptionist and other staff in reception area were all so lovely. The lady dentist and dental nurse were absolutely fantastic. Talked to me through the procedure and made me very at ease. I’ve had a lot of pain in the past when I’ve had the injections to numb my teeth but not today. I didn’t even feel her extract the tooth. I was given expert advice following the extraction, especially on how to prevent a dry socket which I’ve had previously and never ever want to have that pain again. I would highly recommend this dental practice and if I could change and have these as my regular dentist I would. Thank you ladies. You were all amazing ??????????

Moved into the area and this was my nearest dentist. Registering was easy, just walked in and asked, was given a form and handed it in next day. Able to book straight away and was given appointment within the week. Had about 6 appointments now due to ongoing treatment, some single and done back to back with hubby. My dentist involved me in my decisions, explaining procedures as we went along and what would be expected which was comforting. Her hygienist didn’t speak a word, applied glasses and bibs to me without a word. Kept checking the wall clock and looked like she’d rather be elsewhere. Made me uncomfortable. Was able to see how she went on when it was hubbys turn in the chair and I went and sat nearby. One of receptionists is really really rude. I purposely wait in the queue for the more polite lady, the other lady is really rude, making it painfully obvious that she doesn’t like this job and is only here to get paid. I’m in customer service and cannot stand poor service. She talks over you, answers phones while you’re mid sentence and the way she speaks to you is not professional at all. Surgery is clean and well stocked. Parking is difficult as surgery spots taken by staff and adjacent areas are dead ends, has school on it or residential drop curbs. The dead end bit out the front will result in you being blocked in by double parkers so best bet is across the busy main road. There’s no crossing so be prepared to run. Not suitable for elderly or children. Worst thing is getting there early or on time and still having to wait 15 to 40 mins before you’re seen. Happens every time so don’t book appointments on lunch breaks, if your busy or have engagements right after - you will 100% be late.
