After experiencing dental pain for a few days I decided to book into Hillbrook, as a private patient. To my surprise I was offered an appointment the same day. I am very pleased with my treatment today and the service I received. The dentist and nurse were very friendly and knowledgable, the dentist kept me informed throughout my treatment. I feel I wasn’t rushed out the room. I would definitely recommend this practice to family and friends. |

Having had negative, dentist experiences as a child, and throughout some of my early adult life, I became extremly nervous about going to the dentist. That was until I met this dentist, based at Hillbrook dentist, Sparkhill Birmingham.
This dentist has been looking after and, treating my teeth for 6 years now. He has taken the time to explain treatments and treatment procedures, along with listening to my story of dentist, related fear. He fully understood my fears, and explored the reasoning behind these fears.
I never felt patronised or silly discussing these deep rooted fears and negivite past reactions to visiting the dentist. This was due to the dentist and his team, offering approriate and timely reasurrance.
Becasue the dentist cared enough about my fears, but also understood the impact these were having on my ability to trust him to treat my teeth, he introduced the idea of having a combination of gas and air, as this would relax me, therefore: making it easier for him to extract the tooth.
I was feaful of having gas and air, having had bad experience with this method of dental treatment as a child. However; these fears became something of the past, as over the years,a dn at this time in particular, my confidence in the dentist and his abilites to treat patients suffering from fear of the dentist, grew.
He proceeded to remove the tooth, without any spilage of blood or pain, and within less than 15 minutes.
I would recommend discussing alternative medications and treatments with your dentist as a way forward for you and your, usually unfounded fears.
