Jul 26 2019 I have gone to Maw's since I was a child but for some reason I am terrified of the dentist and always have been, resulting in me not going to the dentist for a long time. I needed a filling quite urgently and was given an appointment for 2 days later. It was a female dentist who, I must admit, was rude, condescending and completely ignored anything I was saying. I needed a second filling but wanted to come back another time for that. I then returned for my second filling and was in with the other female dentist, who is a perfect example of what a Dentist should be. She was friendly, funny and very compassionate. She put me totally at ease. I saw her again today for an extraction and again, she was fantastic. Very professional but very, very caring. The male dentist is also a lovely dentist. I saw him as a child and my parents see him too. I would recommend the lovely female dentist 100% especially for people who may be a little apprehensive or anxious about going to a dentist. She's fab :)

Apr 12 2019 I was made to feel so small after explaining that I was petrified of dentists. I also have a chronic illness that some of my medication can corrode my teeth but the dentist said that non of them that I'm taking could do that. She never asked how long I had took them for, which has been around 6 years taking opiate drugs. I also told her that I needed putting under with my wisdom tooth taking out but what she said is that I have it out now or not at all, it just felt like I didn't have a choice also she never asked if I was driving and made me wait in the waiting room where I felt like a complete wreck. With the procedure I then started to feel everything causing me to squirm (I did warn her) only for her to say you either keep still or I'll lose your tooth, which it felt like I was being threatened along with the nurse pinning my head in to place. Never again am I going back to this place, not after that

Nov 13 2018 Have been seen 3 times so far, by the dentist, on short notice and although my treatment is not over the service I have received so far has been great. I'm also terrified of dental work but the dentist and the nurses have made me feel at ease. After 8 years of being too scared to go to a dentist I know I will now go for regular check ups after my treatment has finished.
