Aug 2 2021 Went for a checkup and was charged NHS Band 1 (£23.80). Dentist stated that I needed a 'consultation' with the hygienist as I have advanced periodontal disease, which includes tooth and bone loss. When I got to the hygienist appointment I was charged £55.00 for a scale and polish. Due to clinical need, this scale and polish should have been included in the NHS Band 1 charge. The scale and polish was also woefully inadequate and lots of plaque and tartar remain on several teeth. I have contacted the local Healthwatch regarding the overcharging and await the outcome.

By: Anonymous Rating:.. Jul 10 2019 I have not seen a dentist for two years now, due to appointments been cancelled and my dentist leaving the practise without any warning. I went today and was charged £22.70 for 30 seconds in the chair, with no cleaning involved whatsoever. The dentist then told me to book to see the oral hygienist for a deep clean at £31.05 a session. And advised two sessions. Since when as this been introduced? I also booked the full day off work for nothing and now have to take more time off. So either the dentist couldn’t be bothered to clean them, or the NHS is robbing people. Either way I shall not be going back to this dental surgery in the near future.

Jun 11 2019 I've been with this dental practice for many years, and I must say the staff there are just brilliant. The Receptionists are always friendly and helpful when I call and visit and I'm always squeezed in should I need an emergency appointment. My Dentist and Dental nurse are just brilliant too. Being a real nervous patient they always manage to put my mind at rest and make me feel comfortable, to a point where I no longer fear the dentist, which I did for many many years from being a small child. I honestly can't say anything bad regarding my experience and treatment at this Dental Practice. Thank you so very much!
