Lovely kind and caring reception staff, nothing was too much trouble. I moved here from Lichfield practice a month ago and am very impressed with the level of service. | ||||||

I think the telephone system is absolutely shocking, who ever designed this needs there head read. 3hrs=plus to be number 2 in the queue, just to be CUT OFF DISCRASEFUL... | ||||||

I telephoned to enquire (with appropriate consents in place) with regards to my father's blood results.
I navigated the options for the results and waited for 1hr 42 minutes for a member of the reception team to take the call.
The receptionist was only able to comment if a result was either normal, satisfactory or requiring an appointment. In part, that is good training but even though I am a Doctor, she was not prepared to give any specific data which although frustrating, I can understand.
She did offer to get a Doctor to call be back to discuss, so thank you.
She did say that she was the only member of the reception team on duty to take calls for a practice list size of 15,000 patients.
The Practice are seriously looking at their provision of reception staff.
On another occasion, my wife was waiting for over an hour and a half and gave up.
When the Dr called me we had a meaningful conversation with an excellent outcome.
There are many changes going on in this locality and I strongly feel that the CCG should be actively working with a variety of stakeholders in order to support the recruitment, training and retention of all staff in the primary health care team.
Excellent service from the Doctors but if one can't get the phone answered, we shall all be rocking up at A&E as inappropriate attenders, in order to get our needs met. | ||||||
