It is hard to get an appointment to see a doctor or nurse any time of day before 2 weeks. Once an appointment has been scheduled the waiting time is not too bad and normally one is seen within 20min of the allotted time. However, what is really inefficient is the administration of bookings/referrals by this practice. Nobody wants to take responsibility or knows if a referral letter has been sent out or to which hospital. If one dares to request answers after being sent to a random hospital which knows nothing of this scheduled appointment one is being confronted with shrugging shoulders. Nobody in this practice wants to know or investigate. Especially the doctors. In fact doctors treat patients as a nuisance. Whereas both practice nurses are very nice and efficient. It is a shame that at least some of the doctors cannot take a leaf out of the nursing book. If blood tests have been scheduled, don't expect to be informed of your results, even if things are not quite right. The practice is not proactive, you the patient have to be. Also the practice is, as most GP practices are, not catering for patients who work full time with opening hours on a Saturday only once a month. So all in all, I am not impressed and try to use the surgery as little as possible, rather ignoring symptoms than going to see the doctor.

The doctors here are great, but the appointment booking system is absolutely rubbish - it appears that the practice is ridiculously oversubscribed because it is just not possible to get an appointment when needed. Online booking system shows barely any available appointments even 1 or two weeks in advance.
