My mother booked a blood test at the doctors, she had to wait 13 days for the appointment. She has been told to have regular blood tests every 3 months to monitor her condition. When she arrived she was told she was not permitted to have a blood test having not first seen a doctor and that her appointment has been cancelled. She had an appointment card made out by the receptionist but on the screen there was no evidence of her appointment - it had been reassigned to someone else and she hadn't even been notified. My mother has severe mobility issues, to get to the doctor's surgery is a mammoth task and this was a wasted journey. So now it's back to the waiting game to get another appointment, the blood test is now weeks overdue. This is not good enough. |

there has been much inprovement here (now 10th Nov) despite the population served having massively increased ove the last few years. |
