This surgery has increasingly got downhill since the depart of a previous doctor.
Although one doctor is a very thoughtful and caring doctor- it's very hard to get an appointment with him these days, even though he is my registered doctor.
My last experience was awful; the doctor I saw had no personable skills and wouldn't listen to my views as a patient. Instead she just went through procedures on her computer and basically turned me away for what I really needed which was just antibiotics! I was very poorly with a terrible chest infection ( which at the time was getting on for 3 weeks) and knew that this would be the only thing that would clear the issue up ( after all I know my own body) Instead she fobbed me off with a bottle of medicine. When I asked her if I could buy over the counter cheaper- she replied ' No this is a prescription only medicine'. So I took my prescription to the chemist next door and to no surprise - there was the bottle of linctus sitting on the shelf for just over £2!! She basically bare faced lied to me and tried to rip me off!
I was completely astounded. This lady in my opinion is clearly not experienced enough to be working in this environment - she certainly needs to go on a customer care course.
As a result of her lack of care, my chest infection took another 4 weeks to clear up - therefore 7 weeks in total.
I have paid my taxes for over 30 years and do not expect to be treated in this way. More respect for patients please..... |
