I have just read an article on line in a local paper and once again I would like to commend Dr. Gary Free. I understand these and frightening times ,but I understand from personal experience with my daughter the need to seek medical help from your G.P when needed ,even in a pandemic. Dr Free is an excellent and empathic doctor and I am glad to hear he is reiterating this. Well done . |

I saw the Doctor on 30th January about poor hearing in one ear - he confirmed it was full of wax and needed syringing. He prescribed ear drops to soften the wax and said that they didn't now do this procedure at the practice but I would be contacted by ENT in Stafford to arrange an appointment to have this minor procedure done. I heard nothing until 20th February when I received a letter advising that if I hadn't heard anything by 6th March to contact them. Needless to say, I had heard nothing by 6th March and telephoned them to be given an appointment on 25th March. Now in the good old days of not so long ago, the Doctor would simply have given me drops and told me to make an appointment with the practice nurse a week later to have my ear syringed. Now - I shall have waited 2 months to have this comparatively simple procedure carried out. It's appalling. I am going to have it done privately. |

My family have been with this practice since it began, we have found everyone to be polite and helpful. Getting an appointment is quite easy, we have relatives who cannot believe you can get an appointment by phone for that day, when they are offered one in two weeks. The receptionists are pleasant and helpful. They have a good team of nurses. The only delay we have had involved the practice manager being on holiday and a referral was delayed. |
