Surgery staff will inform ill patients to call back 8am and then 4pm however truth is they dont have an appointment system anyway. This is because the so called GP doesnt want to see anybody anyway. Theyd rather ignore the patients in hope they'd just go to the pharmacy or call 999 instead. If your illness is still around months later because you desperately require investigations for diagnosis then you will be neglected no matter how many times you speak to the surgery staff about getting doc to even return your call., it won't happen so soon. After many months and if you're lucky you might get a chance to speak to a GP for 2mins whole prescribe a standard painkiller. Still you wont get the referral you urgently NEED and if you do, youl be told theres a wait for another 6 months due to Covid 19. Ive never experienced such an incompetent surgery that treats its patients this way. In the mean time ive been to the surgery several times now for repeat blood tests/urine tests because they seem to keep losing the samples again and again. Its normal standard practice for such an incompetent GP surgery. My advice leave to go elsewhere or if you cant complaint to your local MP, and if there is neglect by GP then sue them for medical negligence. |

This review applies to the Great Barr Surgery. The extra hours of opening and triad phone calls (i.e. doctors calling you back) have made a huge improvement to the service we (as patients) receive at this practice. The receptionists are helpful and the nurses as caring as always. Also the internet ordering of medication is very ifficient |
