I recently asked reception as well as the pharmacy a question about the new medication I was about to start taking. I wanted a simple answer on whether or not I should take a tummy protector with it, as I had used to with the previous medication. I could not get a simple straight answer from either reception or the pharmacy. I was only told there was no adverse reaction between the tummy protection and the new medication, but not that I should or should not take a tummy protector with the new medication. Reception even said there was nobody (nurse or doctor) to ask my question that would only take seconds so I gave up with them. In order to get the simple answer I wanted, I approached a kind and helpful consultant I knew from Heartlands Hospital where I work. He gave me the straight simple answer. why couldn't reception or the pharmacy? this makes me VERY unwilling to come to see anyone there for a skin problem I am trying to deal with now and it makes me want to change GP too. the GPs I liked are not now available. I feel very let down. |

Needing repeat prescriptions, why is it that Omeprazole used as a stomach protector to prevent gut ulcers when Ibuprofen is taken, is not part of my repeat prescription list? I have had a lot of trouble in obtaining Omeprazole from the practice pharmacy when I needed it, trying different ways to ask for it, including letters, writing the name of the medication on the bottom on the repeat prescription list (as recommended by the pharmacy on site), but at least 3 or 4 times my request for Omeprazole has been ignored and it has NOT been included when I have collected my prescription and I have had to practically beg and plead to be supplied with it, being forced to return to the practice sometimes 3 times. I have osteoarthritis in hips and knees and try to avoid repeat visits anywhere - walking causes pain and instability. I buy Ibuprofen and Paracetamol cheaply from superstores to take on 2 separate days a week when I do house chores and shopping, otherwise I try not to take any medication or if necessary Paracetamol. Is buying Ibuprofen the reason I don't have Ibuprofen as a repeat prescription the reason wny Omeprazole is not included on my repeat prescription list when I think Omeprazole should be part of that list? all I have even been told that it is not on the list, but why do I have to struggle to obtain it? Must I buy it myself like Ibuprofen and Paracetamol? Would having Ibuprofen as a repeat prescription help to get Omeprazole included in my list? I am seriously thinking of changing GP practice as when my previous doctor was there, I don't think this would have happened. |

I have been a patient for over 15 years and the surgery has gone down so bad the new doctors are very moody in particular a new woman doctors she was very rude and aggressive for no reason and even came out on the reception area talking about me to admin staff which the admin stafff had to remind her I’m still in the waiting area how unprofessional she lacked empathy and compassion she also gave out information which I did not consent to I feel I have no trust in this surgery all the good doctors are gone and replaced with dr who don’t care this situation has stressed me out so I can’t imagine how the vaunbarle feel and how many people she has done this too can’t believe these new doctors are dealing with us patients I do not feel comfortable to go there and I feel they will all just back each other anyone thinking of joining this surgery please don’t and I don’t have trust in them to even deal with my complaints |
