Apologies for your poor experience when trying to get through to the practice. Attwood Green phone calls are picked up by Bellevue Medical Centre after 12.30 each day, who experience a high volume of calls daily. Staff are rota'd to answer the calls through the day but unfortunately some patients have to wait longer for their call to be connected. We are currently looking into how the phone system can be adapted to enable patients to get through to staff at Attwood Green and Bellevue quicker. Reception staff on the front desk will always deal with face to face patients first and will answer the phone in-between, as Attwood Green is a one person reception desk, on occasions the receptionist will not be able to pick the phone up if they are dealing with face to face patients and their queries. We operate an online service whereby you can book appointments and order repeat prescriptions - please ask a member of the reception staff to help you get online if you are not currently. I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing difficulties getting through to Attwood Green Surgery. I can assure you that the reception staff do not turn the telephone volume down or off and try their best to answer as many calls as they can whilst working on the reception desk. At Attwood Green we only have 1 member of reception staff working so at times the phone lines will take longer to answer whilst they deal with patients face to face.
