Following simultaneous COVID19 & Influenza vaccinations I suffered a severe health issue. On calling for a doctor in some distress I was refused a doctor appointment, both face to face and telephone. Doctor prescribed medication without a personal consultation. My condition deteriorated significantly resulting in A&E and emergency treatment. A similar incident weeks previously preceded the death of my mother. I find the 'back office' of the surgery discourteous, unsympathetic, and disingenuous to the point of not wanting to call for doctor assistance. Calls for appointments are generally pointless if not made within 15 minutes of the surgery opening as nothing is available same day - yet when you do attend the waiting room is sparsely populated. The nurse based service works really well and is very reliable. |

Visited surgery (doctor's request), got medication and was told that if it hadn't worked in 7 days to come back. Tried to get appointment by visiting surgery at 8.00am on 3rd November, I explained what Dr had told me and was told I need to ring to get appointment. I rang 10 times and eventually got through to be told that all appointments had gone and that I can call back again tomorrow for an appointment or I can have an appointment around the first week of December. The Doctors are always great but the battle is getting to see them !!! I understand that GP's are under pressure but I don't really want to wait a month to guarantee an appointment.............perhaps I might still need an appointment then !!!! |

Sick to death of the rude, aggressive receptionists. This isn't just a one off, it has happened on many occasion. I am polite and calm, simply asking for an appointment or help. Yet their attitudes are vile. Absolutely no need. I dread calling because of this. On the other hand the doctors have always been fantastic, very calm, compassionate and helpful. |
