My mum and dad visited the Owen Road Surgery on Friday 10th August as my dad had an appointment. My mum also wanted to see the GP, but was told she could not see the doctor. Whilst both of them were there, mum asked if she could be seen at the same time as my dad suffers from parkinsons and she has to accompany him all of the time. The doctor refused to see my mum and she was told he could only see a patient for 10 mins. Hence, he saw my dad and not my mum.
His attitude and behaviour was unacceptable. He was abrupt and told her she needed an appointment, however, he could just as well looked at her ailment at the same time as my dad. Where is the "duty of care"? If my mum is in the same room, why cant he just listen to her? 10 minutes per patient - What if my dad needed more than 10mins?
Doctors are meant to have compassion and a caring nature? I really question this with the doctor. | ||||||

I have been suffering with a broken arm and shoulder, so I took my repeat prescription in but the Dr would not give me Pain killers on repeat as they had in the past so I had to make an appointment the first available was mid afternoon 10 days latter what a joke s I work full time and had to take time off to attend. At lunchtime on the day of the appointment I received a call reminding me of the time and not to be late. when the appointment time arrived I was kept waiting 20+ minutes This is unacceptable, as I had to get back to work and could not wait, This is poor service and all I wanted was a repeat prescription of tablets I have been taking for years to control the pain. Not a good use of NHS time and money. The Dr involved was so arrogant and full of her own self importance | ||||||
