I was able to get through to reception really quickly and got an appointment the same day. When I went to the appointment the reception team were really friendly which made me feel quite comfortable. However that dramatically changed when I went to see the doctor. I only went in as family were concerned and I first went to the walk in centre as I dont like to waste the doctors time however the walk in told me I needed to contact my gp. The doctor was so rude and barely had a look at the issue. He made comments which made me feel like I was a child. It took a lot for me to contact anyone about my issue and then when finally there I was completely belittled. Funnily enough the last time I saw this doctor he did the same but on a smaller scale and I was back in a couple of weeks later thankfully seeing someone else and it had turned out my issue had got worse and I needed to be treated for severe sinus infection...let's hope this issue doesn't get worse either! Absolutely disgusting treatment. Reply from Upton Rocks Surgery Fri, 19 Jul 2019 10:12:24 +0100 Thank you for taking the time to review our practice. I would give less than 1 star. Constant locums, each locum telling you something different. No help at all. Always running late. If you need the gp to do something you get fobbed off for months and months. Manager is always away. Denied repeat prescriptions because locum doesn't know you, even though previous GP advised medication). Given false information by GPs (e.g. out of date contact numbers if you're in a crisis). Appointments are always 2 weeks in advance. Looking to change practices as Upton Rocks is the second Practice I've been to who are run by SSP Health, both practices are absolutely dire. New management is needed instead of locum Doctors. Would not recommend to anyone. |

I have had cause to visit the surgery on a number of occasions recently and found the process to be very efficient. I got an appointment on the day I rang. The Doctor asked that I have a number of tests. I was then called back in to discuss the results and given advice on the basis of those results. The whole process took nine working days. All those I dealt from the reception team to the doctor and nurse were all very helpful and clear in their advice and guidance. All in all a very good service. Thank you. The text reminders are a great addition too. |
