I look after my father who has dementia with Alzheimer, he is 83 To cut a long story short , the ambulance crew decide that it would not be in his best interest to take to hospital, the ambulance crew spoke to the doctor on call and advise to speak to his own GP, I spoke to the GP who basically keep saying his needs his bloods doing urgent and arrange for a DM to attend with in 24 hours as he is unstable on his feet !!!!! Surely there must a better way to access medical care without sending everyone to hospital , talk about pass the buck |
