I saw a doctor regarding intense thumb pain 9/4 who organised an Xray which I had on my next day off from work. The results got back to my surgery on the 19/4. I rang the following week to be told the results and that the Dr had sent herself a note about this result so just wait to see if you here from her. On the 29/4 I attended for my smear and thought as I hadn't heard anything I would ask the nurse if there was anything to report. She advised me that the note to the Dr was still sat with her and that perhaps I should just wait a couple more weeks to give the GP chance to get in touch! I do appreciate that GP's have an immense workload although a short letter at this point to explain the results would have been helpful. I have been in agony well over three months and struggling at work to do my job therefore having to take painful which makes me groggy. I realise that any treatment options that may or may not be offered have a waiting period and I am by no means wishing to queue jump however some communication from the GP surgery regarding what options I have would alleviate the uncertainty I feel whilst I still try to continue to carry out daily tasks with my job role and home life. | ||||||

Both the NHS and their own website say that they are accepting new patients. We visited to register, and found that they are not in fact taking new patients | ||||||
