Used to be a great practice until recent years. I have a mental health prescription and I havent seen a doctor in about 2 years, I phoned up recently as I needed to talk things though with regard to my health only to find I had to justify to someone who answers the phone whether I am worthy to see doctor, appalling after not being prepared to say it was an emergency was told about a month for an appointment, put phone down very distressed, looking for another practice | ||||||

At a time when the NHS is suffering from media and public abuse I would like to say that I really appreciated the fact that when I came into the surgery every effort was found to make me an appointment as quickly as possible. Thanks to the team at Fernbank Surgery. | ||||||

I am a nurse working in the NHS, one of the Drs who I work with advised me to have a mole looked at asap by my GP, rang for an appointment explaining this and was told I would need to wait three weeks for an appointment, or alternatively could ring each morning - just what you need after working a 12 1/2 hour night shift. I then telephoned a surgery in Kirkham, who saw me that day and did the referral, within four days I had had an operation to remove the mole, which was melanoma. As you can imagine I changed practice. In the seven years I was with Freckleton,Surgey, I only requested one appointment as I'm generally in good health otherwise. | ||||||
