Very sad that after 36 years with this practice I am making arrangements to leave. Attempted to get an appointment to be told that I have been triaged by doctor and I have an appointment scheduled for 22.07.2022! Attempted to contact the surgery to discuss and was hung up on by receptionist - i was not shouting or screaming or swearing. I called back and asked for someone more senior who advised that their internal policy was that shouting and swearing doesnt matter, 'if we feel we are not getting anywhere with you we can put the phone down'. I explained that as I was unwell and stressed did they consider what those actions would do to their patients mental health... Asked where I could find a copy of this policy on the practice website and was advised that this is an interal policy and patients do not need to know. Second lady I spoke to was fine just all very unhelpful and ultimately it is call 111 or go to A&E, quite frankly it is shameful. I am not some one who attends the doctors regularly or abuses the NHS service so to be treated so poorly and fobbed off in such away was very upsetting for me. Nothing personal I have been made aware that I am just one of 5000 patients... |
