Phoning at 8am to get an appointment on the same day is stressful, however they answer in the end. (I put my phone on unlimited speed dial and get on with something else) . The advantage of the system is that you control which day you see the doctor. Everytime I've called there's always an appointment, usually in the morning. The doctors' I've seen are wonderful; they listen, are respectful and are very supportive. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. We must remember that the population has increased and there is a shortage GP's throughout the NHS. The booking system is an improvement on the previous system when there often appointments weren't available for up to a month. |

The most ridiculous merry go round booking in system! For an appointment, you have to call up in the morning but no one will answer the phone then. If you turn up to reception, you can see staff sat there ignoring the calls. Their aim is to register as many patients as they can without having to see too many; pointless! Doctors themselves may be helpful but that’s only if you get to see them. No wonder A&E departments are over loaded if no one can get to see their GP with practices like this one. I will be moving away from them ASAP. |

Having lived in Heald Green for 60+years the surgery and service have changed. I can honestly say over the years whatever ‘turn’ my health has taken I could never complain ok sometimes it’s difficult to get through or get an appointment but overall I have always met with helpfulness. The centre is very busy and we all should remember this service is free to all and aren’t we lucky, thank you surgery for looking after myself and my family long may you continue to thrive.
