I never get enough help from them when I try to seek for medical advice, they don't listen what I try to describe, and ask me to keep monitor by myself. Seems they are in hurry to hang up. |

i I have tried to keep away from the surgery as understand the doctors have been very busy during and post Covid. However, I really wanted to see Dr Stratford-Smith - he was very supportive when I needed a knee replacement 5 years ago and told me to contact him when the other knee got to the same stage. I tried! On 22 September I booked an appointment with him at 8.10 am on 11th October. I booked this face-to-face with the receptionist on 22/9 but there was no record on the screen when I got to the surgery. I booked again for Dr S-S and the earliest appointment was 31st October. I really wanted to see him! When I got to the surgery that day, I was told he was unavailable and I was to see another doctor! Whilst I sat in reception, two other patients were called through to see Dr S-S. This to me shows a lack of patient care (I was really upset when I saw the replacement doctor, having waited over a month) and I think I at least I should have had the courtesy of a phone call before I attended the appointment. I know the doctors all have access to patient notes but I feel the admin staff should be aware of patient's particular requests. I feel let down by a surgery that used to be very efficient and caring. |
