I totally agree with the other reviewers that getting through to this practise is near impossible. I had a call back from Dr De Jongh on Monday and sent a picture of a lump on my arm that she could not make out clearly so asked me to make an appointment to see her. I said that the receptionist would probably offer me a call back, so Dr De Jongh told me to tell the receptionist that we have discussed the issue and you just need to make a face to face appointment. Guess what, the receptionist insisted that I need a call back. So Dr De Jongh who has already told me to make a face to face appointment has to give me a call back, assuming I get through to ask for a call back, to tell me what she has already told me. Surely this can't be the best use of someones time especially a Doctors who time is precious and important. |

This practice is an absolute joke from start to finish. You are completely unable to book an appointment in advance and are forced to call up on the day. It is not uncommon to wait an hour and a half on hold, then be answered by a receptionist who demands confidential details of your complaint then informs you that they have "no phone appointments left today...;Can you ring back tomorrow?"
This happens day after day.
They are also completely unable to get even the simplest requests for prescriptions correct, your repeat prescriptions often arriving piecemeal to the pharmacy, necessitating you to take more and more time out of your life on the phone to them trying to find out what has happened to your prescriptions.
This practice is basically useless. The surgery should be shut down until the staff have been appropriately trained and they are able to run a professional appointments service instead of the inefficient system of only being able to speak to somebody THAT day.
To anybody looking to find a GP surgery to join - do yourself a favour and completely avoid this practice. It will save your sanity and possibly your life one day. |
