I thought I had an ear infection was not sure phoned for an appointment after 2 days and 167 telephone attempts I was told I needed to go to A&E. I tried saying it was just an infection but was told they were advising to go to A&E. went to A&E and apologised to staff for attending as that’s what GP practice had stated to do. Was seen by a nurse practitioner who confirmed an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. A&E was packed staff ran off their feet. I still feel guilty turning up there. Went for my usual prescription collection to be told it had been blocked by GP surgery and I needed to contact them. Spoke to receptionist to be told they didn’t have any correspondence from hospital with change to medication. I needed to contact consultants secretary. I said this was hard to believe as I had previously had a follow up call from GP to ask if medication was working. Told I could not have and I need to contact consultant’s secretary. I contacted secretary who confirmed I wasn’t going mad. Letter emailed after appointment and they would email again and leave it an hour before contacting GP to give them time to read through emails. Left it 3 hours then contacted GP and yet again stated no email but a doctor had been made aware of situation for prescription. I give up. |

Recently ran out completely of emergency heart attack spray. I contacted the surgery and explained the situation and the receptionist and prescriptions clerk sorted out the problem immediately. Prescription was sent to the pharmacy the same afternoon. Thank you. B Austin |

I made appointment and was given a date for 5 weeks later. Just before appointment it was cancelled by email. I asked for them to email me a new date. Told they don't make appointments by email so I need to ring. Who has time to hold on the phone for hours in a queue when you are at work. |
