I was advised today to use Rhinocort for 3wks but wasn’t given a prescription which I needed, I was then made to feel like a 3rd class citizen when reception told me to just ask the chemist for the cheapest one! Because apparantly the nurse just buys hers and her husbands! (Don’t know why I had to be given this irrelevant information) I’m on esa and the cheapest product is £5 out my price range so had to ring again to request a prescription for the medication I was advised. I am very fortunate that I live in the uk and we have the NHS so I’m entitled to a prescription for my medication so I don’t see why the surgery had to make it so difficult and in turn made me feel very worthless, inferior and disrespected. ..... if I paid for my prescriptions I would understand it cheaper to get over the counter but I’m not in a position when I can do this! Where is my duty of care! Why do reception always talk down to you? Why are they never helpful and insist in making everything so complicated... I now have to wait 48hrs for my prescription request to be processed! When it should of been pinged over to the chemist at the time of my appt today! |
