Some of the reception staff have an attitude that borders on rude and unhelpful at times, with little or no explanation of procedures/protocols or why they might not be able to carry out your request, other than 'no'.
These requests only related to minor admin matters such as requesting a fit note (it was sent to a doctor who wasn't there so therefore wasn't ready when I went to collect it on the day I had been told it would be ready, I asked if it could be sent to another GP who was there so it could be done that day but was just advised no - it had to wait for the following day when the other GP was back in, even though I had not seen that GP) and asking for a prescription to be sent to a particular pharmacy (it was sent to the wrong one and there was no apology or effort to rectify the situation by asking for it to be returned etc, it was just down to me to go and collect it whether it was convenient or not, and it wasn't).
The saying 'treat others as you would like to be treated' seems to have bypassed one or two people, maybe a refresher on customer service would be appropriate.
The clinical staff I have seen however, have been very professional and approachable. | ||||||
