Trying to get a diagnosis over 2 years now and finally decided to go private and paid to do all my appointments, scans and MRI and when I finally had all the diagnosis and documents decided to go back to nhs and get cured as couldnt afford the price for the operation as private. Now after 3 months we didn’t get anywhere. It’s taking 2 months for a blood test. First appointment booked after 2 weeks then took the blood and they said the blood wasn’t enough so couldn’t test it and had to reschedule one after 2 weeks, turned up for an appointment at 11:15 arrived 11:16 and refused to see me so rescheduled for week after. 3 months and still no where near just a referral ! It’s a joke especially if you go to see the same gp as a private patient they do everything for you and they turn as good doctors and magically they know everything but as nhs doctors they are useless |

Re- Diabetic Review with Ellie 13/07/2022 Ellie always makes me feel welcome and at ease during appointments. She is someone who I can always rely on to listen, give good advice, relevant information and the motivation to manage my diabetes. I know how hard she worked during the pandemic with the vaccination programme. Nurses like her really are indispensable!! Thank you Ellie, you’re a Star! |

Unable to get through. Cannot speak to yet alone see a doctor. The reception staff are really rude now. I work in health service and Covid can no longer be used as an excuse for everything. Communication terrible, I've never been spoken to like I have today especially. I am beginning to wonder if any doctors are still there. I couldn't get through on phone as in a queue then once connected as next caller it just rings until it rings out. For 4 hours today. When I went down to surgery the chairs are all stacked up, it's dark in waiting room and no one in it. It felt odd. The receptionist snapped at me when I advised the phone system might have, a glitch that it was because it never stopped ringing. There were 2 receptionists the phone was ringing for the 10 mins I was there not answered once!! There's no empathy to help those who are working and can't sit trying to ring all day. I have tried multiple times over last few months and once you get through despite trying from 8am, there are no telephone triage spots left so they say you have to call back at 1330. To have same, ring back tomorrow. You never get to even be triamged. Hospitals are getting back to normality to some extent so why aren't the surgery? I wish they'd bring the walk in clinics back they worked well. All I needed was a blood form, I aren't sure why the gp couldn't just print it off? Everything is just silo working and disjointed. Who asked for bloods was they snappish demand. The doctor was my reply. Name? A nurse will have to print it. OK I can wait. No it will be after weekend. OK I will come on Monday morning. Get home. Hour later a text... Your blood form is ready for collection. Do they think we just have nothing else to do. I am fed up. I have been dismissed, fobbed off and now I am awaiting results of private tests as I couldn't get anything from this surgery. The Consultant has said there is something wrong. The only reason I got to speak with a doctor at Riverside is because they got the first results of tests and thought they'd better act on the advice. I am debating reporting to Cqc as I worry people may get seriously ill through lack of care. |
