The doctors here are always really helpful in my experiences. The receptionists however I find to be rude and unhelpful. Trying to get a appointment here is painful.twice I have had to take my child to a and e because the receptionist point blank refused me an appointment for 2 days. A child at my 9 year old boys school decided to try and squeeze my child to the point of a crack been heard to his ribs.He was crying in agony so we rushed down to a empty surgery waiting room with a 9 year old in agony fearing he had a broken rib/s and the receptionist blunt as ever said nothing available there may be an emergency doctor on later so you will have to come back later. How does she sleep at night? So anyway of to a and e.fantastic up there took all the relevant samples and has badly bruised bottom core of his ribs. Some of your receptionists need to brush up on their people skills. Helpful and good doctors but let down by receptionists and generally how the surgery is run. |

I have been registered with the surgery for 14 years and have always received excellent treatment, care and support from every member of staff.
I have been so appreciative of this, especially as I worked in the NHS for 37 years and have worked in several practices within the same Health Trust.. Never have I met with such a forward thinking, inclusive, patient and helpful team of Doctors, Nurses and Administration staff.
It was for this reason that I became a member of the Patient Participation Group, in order to "give something back". I have therefore first hand experience of being listened to, given a say in decision making and in being involved in how the practice has discussed and introduced new initiatives which have helped to improve patient experience.
I have had a health problem recently which had led me to visit the surgery
6 times in 16 working days and I have also been contacted by Doctors by telephone 3 times.during this period. To say that both myself and my husband have been informed and supported with patience, respect and tolerance is an understatement. I cannot thank everyone enough.
I also must comment that the opportunity to book appointments on line, send in prescription requests and be able to see my personal clinical records is a helpful service that is a bonus to someone in my position. I therefore would highly recommend the practice to anyone and would also suggest that becoming a member of the PPG would not only benefit individuals but the whole practice population.
The surgery totally deserve their Outstanding QCC Rating ! |

I can usually always get a same day appointment, either by calling the surgery or using the app. Good to note that I also use the app If my children need an appointment and then call the surgery to switch from my name to the child’s. I find this works well as I’m an early riser and I can secure a booking without waiting for the phone lines to open. The reception staff are always friendly and professional.
I always find that the Doctors fully investigate any concerns and where necessary will refer for further investigation.
