I made an appointment to see an Advance Nurse about a pulled groin as I was in a lot of pain. I was diagnosed with a burst vessel and bruising in the area and was told that I will need 2-3 months to recover. When asked for a sick note, I was told to call back in 2 days times and she can get one ready and even post it to me as I can self certify for 7 days. When I called back 2 days later, the receptionist told me there was no record of my conversation with the Advance Nurse and since the Advance Nurse is not qualified to issue a sick note, I will need to see a doctor this time round. After insisting to the receptionist that I have great difficulty travelling, she relented and informed me that she will get in touch with the Advance Nurse or another doctor to issue me a sick note. I am now hoping that the medical staff and receptionist will communicate effectively in order that I may have the evidence required to present to my employers for my condition where I am unable to sit or use the stairs, where I have to walk with an assistance of a stick and that I have to lie down all day and only getting up while bearing the pain if necessary to use the toilet. The visit to the surgery was the first time I was out of my house since my injury and would not like to repeat the experience in the near future. The communication between the medical staff and the administrative staff needs to be improved in order to provide a good service. | ||||||

What can I say, amazing staff and doctors, who work increased work loads, who treat there clients with upmost care, respect and professional attitudes.They work incredible hard to support clients in the shortest of time. Not making you weeks to see a gp, nurse etc.
If only other practices could this !!!

Was 10 minutes late to an appointment today (due to traffic I am unable to control!) and I was spoken to by the receptionist and doctor like a piece of dirt! Doctor didn’t want to speak to me, ended up leaving in tears with an incorrect prescription. | ||||||
