I feel that I have to write a review about the fantastic care that My mum has received from the reception team at Gold St surgery. These two ladies have gone above and beyond several times for my 86 year old mum who is bed ridden with age and illness and has severe anxiety problems. They have helped me so much when I have needed prompt action on issues with prescriptions and the welfare of my mum in general. These ladies are friendly, very efficient and really care about the practice patients that they deal with.
The practice is very lucky to such compassionate and efficient reception staff

Appointment system is shocking. I'm supposed to see my doctor every 4 weeks, However, apparently the doctor himself cannot make the appointment while I'm in with them so I have to make it at reception and that's where the problem is. The reception only makes appointments 2 weeks in advance and if I phone up to make an appointment within the two weeks then I can't get an appointment because there isn't one available.
Some of the reception staff make it very difficult as they don't appear to have a clue how to operate the system due to this there has been several occasions when I've gone for long periods without medication, which I am not just supposed to stop taking as it makes me I'll.
Half the time it just seems like the reception staff can't wait to get off the phone to the point that I've been talked to like I have no idea what I'm talking about and on some occasions hung up on before I've even finished what I'm saying. Yes! How the hell am I supposed to get a sustained benefit from antidepressants if I keep having periods without them because of "clinical error".today they sent my prescription to Cheshire, I live in Barnsley. Disgusting! | ||||||
