What a hidden gem this surgery is! Having read previous reviews, I didn’t think they were referring to Elmswood surgery. As a patient of nearly 15 years, as are all my family; one of which has severe disabilities (physical and learning), I feel sincere gratitude to the Docors, Nurses, Reception Staff and Telephone Staff for the courtesy and empathy shown to both my son and myself, as his carer. The Doctors and Nurses have all been very thorough and caring in their treatment of my Son; they give him time to communicate, even though his communication skills are very limited. The reception staff always greet my Son using his Christian name and respond with a smile when he grabs their hand to shake it. In my honest opinion, this is one of the best surgeries in Nottingham having spoken to and visited other surgeries with other carers. A big thank you to all the staff! |

Some good doctors here on the whole, although there seem always to be a lot of temps or locums which can be a good thing, they seem more interested and less pressured. Getting past the receptionist experience has been an issue more than once though and cause for written complaint. Lack of respect is the main issue from some, but not all, of them and making a complaint just causes them to close ranks. If you have a problem, they will probably advise you to move rather than admit they're wrong and try to sort it.
There are better but it's a lottery. |
